Need help choosing a painting?

I have to choose a famous painting to write a paper for my humanities class. I'm not an expert some art and I can not seem to find what you want, even in the list of websites of art museums we had. I was wondering if someone could suggest something that I would, even if its just a style or a guy who could research. I like paintings with some sort of color. I do not like realistic paintings, but I'm also on their abstract painting look like someone just splashed on a canvas. I met a painter René Magritte, whose art is very interesting, but I can not find a website for the art museum of his labor. I'm also obsessed with Asian culture and I would love if you could find all kinds of oriental art. I'm confused when it comes to these things. Please help me! Museum's website is also appreciated if possible!

Wow …. much to choose from! To narrow your search ….. If you like the work of Rene Magritte, you will be able to fine a lot of information about it. He was part of the Surrealist movement and his work is represented in most museums. There are many books about his work, and you will be able to find a good library. As for Asian art is concerned, I love the work of many Japanese artists in wood. One of the most famous is Hokusai. He was also a painter. You may have seen his famous engraving "Mount Fuji is shown then a wave of Kanagawa. "He was a painter and engraver. made a long series of works with images of Mount Fuji." Another recorder is Hiroshige, whose composition and the colors are wonderful! Moreover, it could be interesting, as this is for a class of Humanities, dicuss the influence of Asian art and culture of American artists as James McNeill Whistler. See the paintings "Caprice in Purple and Gold: The Golden Screen," 1864 "," Purple and Rose: The Lange Leizer of the six brands , 1864 ".. He was heavily influenced by Hiroshige The Freer Gallery of Art at the Smithsonian has many of his most important works of this period. I put a link your slide show. It also includes information on works of art. As the Far East was opened to the West through travel and trade, artists Westerners were fascinated by these exotic lands and unique aesthetics. Began to incorporate concepts and elements of Asian art. Good luck!
