I love Asian art and decor and was wondering what the dragon? and why the dragon?
The dragon symbolizes long life or longevity and wisdom. Chinese emperors think they are the real dragons and sons the sky. Dragon can be seen in the construction of the imperial palaces. Dragons are symbols of imperial power. Tradiotionally, dragons are considered as the governors rainfall in Chinese culture. They have the power to decide when and where to have rain. The kings of water dragons live in the ocean. The dragon also plays an important role in Chinese festivals. The Dragon Boat Festival became popular and is now an international event. The dragon dance is performed in the parade of the Year New Chinese. This dragon is used to repel evil spirits spilling New Year, and on 10 October, China's independence day. Dragons are also a powerful sign and lucky Chinese zodiac. They consider themselves lucky in love, tenacious, determined to get it, that smart. But underneath it all, dragons are after power. This sign is compatible with the monkey or rat.
How to decorate your room with a theme inspired by Asia
Deep reds and golds inspire appetite and good conversation so what better way to decorate your dining room then with a theme inspired by Asia!
Even if you do not have a professional designer can get a glimpse of its Asian-inspired dining room, changing little things, such as adding a wallpaper border and coordinating their tableware and serving dishes to give an exotic look to Asia the room. Do not be shy to change things such as flooring, lighting, decorative accessories and color of the wall next to his table and chair and a dresser.
